Since the release of Powell’s debut CD ‘Light’, in early 2009, the Ben Powell Quartet (BPQ) has enjoyed several performances on National Public Radio (USA), and a handful of International Jazz Festival appearances, including the 2009 Tanglewood Jazz Festival Lenox MA, and the 2010 Victoria and Vancouver Jazz Festivals to name a few.

Committed to finding and writing repertoire that pertains to the violin, the BPQ prides itself on truly idiomatic playing, performing repertoire that is unique to its instrumentation and musicians.
